My name is Gu PengYu, I am from Beijing. I lived a rich year mainly because of the King's Church. People from this church are very kind. During the year, they arranged various activities, which broadened my horizon and enriched my life undoubtedly. I feel grateful to everyone from King's Church. In the housegroup, we got to know much knowledge about Christianity and we practiced English. This greatly helped me understand British culture.

The first time I went to King's church, I was deeply attracted by the comfortable and harmonious atmosphere. Soon, I realized there is much more than that. The songs we sang together brought joy and peace to me. The sermons from pastors created a new world in my brain which I’ve never stepped in. Paul and Janice were like angels and were always ready to help. ‘We are always here for you’, as they often says. In addition, Paul is so knowledgeable that he can moved you by the truth that you may be searching for. Later, I became a Christian. King's Church let me know what is real love and now I can feel love all the time. Thank you King's church.

Being able to know people from King’s church was one of my most important harvests from England. I had the chance to experience the natural beauty of English villages from Church Walks, and meet many kind friends in the church. Every Wednesday night I went to Neil’s housegroup, which was one of my most valued and meaningful activities in last year’s life in Preston. We gathered together to study the Bible; discuss life, study, and family issues. They made me feel so much cared in this foreign country. Of course it is Neil’s family makes me closer to God, learn to Pray to God when being in trouble, and I feel God’s love. I thank King’s Church.

My name is Wang Jijuan and had studied in Preston for three years. I know about King's church from my friend. After that, I began to join them and get involved into this big family. King's Church is more than a church for Christian; it is a family with full of love. With guide of Jesus, we come together and spend the lovely time to share our love and experience. I like to stay with the people in King's Church, especially Paul and Janice. They gave me lots of help and support for my study and life. They bring not only the Christian information, but also the love. I really cherish the memories and the wonderful time with King's Church when I stayed in UK.

It's such a great experience for me to share one night every week with both British friends and Chinese fellows. Having been enjoying housegroup for almost two years in Preston, I haven't had any dull feeling. Instead, always find something fresh for me to learn and share. I would really recommend housegroup to you, specially for the people who want to learn western culture while making new British & Chinese friends.

I was introduced to the lovely King's church by my friend. Initially, you may think about the free food and chances to talk to English people. But when you get involved, you will find you gain more than that. The people in King's church are very friendly and easygoing. The housegroup on every Tuesday becomes my most happy time in a week. There, you can talk to lovely people and meet new friends. It's a good time to stay away from your course work.
I really need to say a great thanks to Paul. When I felt down or got confused about life, he was always there to share my sorrow.
I'm really grateful to King's church left me such a great memory.

I want to begin with some words my friend who is in America has told me, she says, ‘you don’t need to be too bothered about what you can accomplish in this year. Even if you have worries or get hurt, feel confused or lonely, most importantly you have known God, which is the treasure for a lifelong.’ If God has arranged me to come to him, King’s Church is the key to open the door. People there enthusiastically do God’s work and speak God’s words to me, make me realize my sins and then give me strength to face the challenges… They use their limited resources to do so many things for Chinese students and make God’s love known to many by serving the students. I am really grateful to them and I want to thank God.

The people in King's Church are really nice. They are very helpful when you have troubles. They organise different activities which enriched my life, such as Church Walks and Housegroup meetings. In every week's housegroup, singing, studying the Bible and chatting with people gave me opportunities to practise my oral English. In Church Walks, not only I could see different beautiful English towns I also got chance to buy many novel gadgets. In one sentence, I don't regret joining King's Church.

Since first time joined house group, I have spent nearly a month to join house group on every Wedensday. This is extremely a good way to practice english especially in spoken language. I found myself not only know more about jesus or god, but also get along well with people in the church. They also did me huge favour when I need some time. I strongly recommand people who just came to england to join this group, to know more people, to practice english and also to feel the different way of religion which you can't touch in china. I will continue keep in touch with people in house group and wish they good luck in the future.

Hi, my name is Shasha, and I am a Christian. I now read my PhD study in Uclan. I attend Wednesday housegroup every week and enjoy every bit of that. It is a very special occasion that you can meet Chinese students in Uclan, emerge yourself in English family life and English culture, most important of all, you know God and his truth. In King's church, except the housegroup activity, we often go out for travelling, attend BBQ, celebrate the festivals, it is so much fun and we enjoy it a lot. We welcome you all and hope you can enjoy King's church and our housegroup, together with every activity as we did this year.
Hope to see every one of you very soon.
